uMerit has zero financial or data relationship with colleges, test companies, or data brokers. Student records are never sold, shared, or surfaced to any admissions office. We are structurally independent from the institutions students are applying to — that independence is the foundation of the product’s integrity.
All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256. Students own their profiles and can revoke counselor access at any time. Counselor notes remain strictly private — students never see your strategy layer.
